You cannot have enough practice embodying anatomy.
That belief lives at the heart of everything we teach at Pranayoga — and this weekend intensive brings it fully to life. ANAT200 is an open-door workshop, which means current 200-hour trainees are joined by yoga teachers, students, and practitioners who simply want to go deeper. If you've ever wanted to understand why a pose works, how the body actually moves through it, and what skilled hands-on guidance really feels like, this is your training.
Danielle McGuire, C-IAYT and founder of the Pranayoga Institute, leads this immersive introduction to anatomy in action — weaving biomechanics, alignment principles, and the art of the assist into a weekend you'll feel in your body long after it ends.
What You'll Explore
The key muscles and actions at work in the Sattva Hatha sequence
Biomechanics of movement and how the body is designed to flow
Foundational alignment principles and how to apply them intelligently
Adapting and modifying poses based on individual anatomical differences
Yoga adjustments and enhancements, including visual instruction in hands-on assists
Course Details
Required reading: Key Muscles of Yoga by Ray Long
Completion requirement for 20 CEs
Over the 30 days following the training, explore one muscle or muscle group each day in your own body. Reflect on what you notice in a one-page journal entry and upload it to Google Drive.
