  • Confidently work in collaboration with other health care professionals and medical settings.

Why Pranayoga Institute? Pranayoga Institute was founded by yoga therapist, Dani McGuire in 2009 to serve those with chronic pain and cancer. Our years of experience, faculty with a cohesive approach to care, and student to teacher ration and mentorship are truly invaluable. We care about the growth of your yoga therapy business and your daily practice. We are committed to cultivating sacred space for education, clear communication, support and integration of ancient practices into modern life.

Sattva means balance. The study of ayurveda is one in keeping the body balanced, and the study of yoga is one of keeping ourselves in harmony with our bodies, breath, relationships and the world around us. We have joined these sister sciences in our holistic yoga therapy training programs so that we may find the integrated approach to healthcare in the 21st century. We believe that for the whole person to not only survive but to thrive, there needs to be harmonious balance of the three treasures of mind, body and spirit. Our philosophy is one of wholeness and integration to achieve sustainable results and transformation within.

Who is this for? The program is for those who have a 200 hour RYT or equivalent, 1 year personal practice, and have been teaching for a minimum of 1 year.

The Schedule: This program meets during 2 – 3 day weekend modules. Students determine their pace of 1-2 modules per month. This program takes approximately 3 years to complete or 2 if you are on the “fast track” taking 2 modules per month. You may take your time to complete as well within 5 years as a part-time student.  Modules with pre-requisites, will state next to them.

The Sattva Yoga Therapy program is designed to affirm students’ awareness and ability to utilize his or her understanding of alignment, group and private yoga therapy sessions, bio-mechanics, somatic movement, mindbody therapies, pranic energy healing, ayurveda individualization, subtle body anatomy, and therapeutic and professional relationships in the field of yoga therapy.

Our mission is for every student to be able to enter into the field of yoga therapy confidently upon completion of our program, and to be equipped as Sattva Yoga Therapists with foundational protocols, self-awareness, knowledge of how to adapt to any individual, masters of the therapeutic relationship, and ability to trust inner wisdom when providing yoga therapy. She became ERYT 500 certified in 2015, and a Certified International Yoga Therapist in 2017. As a teacher, she sees each student as whole. She strives to create a supportive environment in which each student can safely experiment in uncovering the beauty and joy that reside within the heart of each of us. This support can include traditional yoga therapy, massage therapy, and a synergistic blend of the two. She is a perpetual student and is furthering her yogic and massage studies on the pelvic floor and myofascial release.
