After having a baby, mothers experience many changes in their bodies, minds, and emotions. The two things that seem to be foremost on our minds are the meaningful bond with our babies and rediscovering our deep core strength.

A special class designed just for momma and baby during the sacred yet delicate postpartum period.

Mommy and Me Yoga focuses on gentle, therapeutic movement and baby massage designed to promote healthy formative development in baby, as well as movement, breathing, and relaxation exercises that encourage both strength and peace in the body and mind of the mother. This decreases stress, anxiety, and promotes energy, strength, and confidence in the postpartum body and mind. A calm, safe space where feeding, diapering, and open minded discussion are normal. Safe for all levels, including new students and those who have experienced c-section. Recommended for babies aged 0-6 months. Strengthens bonding, integration, and healthy development in both mom and baby, as well as learning tools to use every day at home.

Mom and baby will both benefit as you learn to move, breathe, play together.

No yoga experience required. This class goes with the flow of mom and baby, so at times is not always quiet. The practice is very informal and moms have the option to breastfeed or bottle feed. Fussing or crying is normal and natural. If baby is sleeping, then mom can practice more yoga poses or simply observe the baby massage and poses to practice later at home.

“Following the birth of my son, I was eager to return to my yoga practice. Mommy and Me yoga provided a gentle path for me to slowly rebuild core strength, while bonding with my son, and also interacting with other new moms. I can’t wait to continue with my newfound love for yoga!”-Nichole, Fort Wayne

“While I had really enjoyed the prenatal classes, the postnatal mommy and me classes were even better! How can you not have a great time in a room with babies who are all actually doing happy baby pose! These classes were another fun way to connect with baby and the other new moms, not to mention the benefits of getting back into a more normal yoga practice after having our babies. I had a relatively easy recovery after having my son, and I do feel like a lot of that is due to my staying active and maintaining my yoga practice.”-Kate
