At its essence, Ayurveda is a wellness system. Historically, all yogis understood it’s principles and logic. Krishnamacharya had a deep knowledge of ayurveda. Ideally, yoga teachers should know what he knew when he gave such unique teachings to BKS Iyengar (therapeutic structural alignment emphasis) and to Patabi Jois (Asthanga Vinyasa). Ayurveda had a huge impact on how those teachings were informed.
